Corey grew up in Melbourne Australia. Since he was a young lad he knew what he wanted to be, so when given the opportunity to complete an apprenticeship as a Cabinet Maker he jumped at the chance. After almost a decade as a qualified Cabinet Maker Corey decided a change in scenery was needed. He embarked on an exciting 31 day tour of Europe. Little did he know that this tour would change his life forever!

Amanda grew up in Markham Ontario. The last of three girls, Amanda enjoyed an enriching childhood with lots of travel and exposure to different cultures. After completing a four year honors degree in Health Science at UWO, Amanda caught the travel bug and left for the very same 31 day tour of Europe….

11 years, a wedding, more travel and two beautiful boys later, they settled down in Brooklin, Ontario. In 2008 they opened their own custom cabinetry business, Gum Tree Cabinets. In 2012 they opened a new manufacturing shop close to their focused markets.
